I am Susan Bevier and I teach math and technology. My approach to teaching is summarized by a quote attributed to poet William Butler Yeats: “Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire.”  I strive to light that fire by creating a positive learning environment where students can feel safe exploring a concept or accepting a new challenge.  In my classes, everyone is “a math person” and “a tech person” where they can think and solve problems creatively and visually, and share their thinking with their peers. I focus on making learning multisensory, relevant, interactive, and engaging, and enjoy preparing Odyssey students for a bright future.
