We believe strongly in the importance of a well-rounded curriculum. Our students attend their core classes in the morning and early afternoon, and then have the option to stay at school to participate in the Enrichment Program. We offer a number of choices to help create a full and satisfying educational experience for your child:
The Odyssey Enrichment Program
Courses are offered Monday through Friday from 1:45 to 4:00
Art – Over the past few years, our art program has become one of the strengths of our school and has allowed students to capitalize on their creative talents and expand their skill set while exploring new genres.
Drama – Students participate in theater production and acting class. Students develop their ability to communicate and co-operatively learn about theater; including participation in a theater environment and the technical aspects of theater.
Physical Education – The Physical Education class is an opportunity for students to participate in an athletic program that is non-competitive and has a focus on acceptance, co-operation, and community building.
Academic Language Therapy Program – The individual or small group academic language therapy program is designed to help students who have been diagnosed with a specific learning disorder such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, developmental reading disorder, or disorders of written language.
Social Skills – The “Social Thinking” class is designed for students who experience a variety of social challenges / frustrations in their daily lives. This class is well suited for students needing to build skills in the area of social interaction and who are also having difficulties in academic and social environments.
Music – Starting next year, Odyssey will be offering guitar, piano, and voice lessons after school. How could we not, being smack dab in the middle of the “Live Music Capitol of the World?”
