Parent Testimony

Our DaughterMy daughter is intelligent, but has a severe reading and writing disability. Because of the training and dedication of the teachers and staff at Odyssey, she has been able to excel academically and stays on the A/B Honor Roll.”

I have three children with very different personalities and Tribe learnerslearning styles and they all have attended Odyssey.

There are other parents at Odyssey that can relate to your struggles with your student and provide great support and friendship. My best friends are Odyssey parents.

Parent TestimonialOur son has changed from a child who had so much anxiety about trying anything new to making his “own” plans regarding his future and determining the steps he will take to get there.

The individual instruction is pivotal to our son’s success. He no longer feels like he has to Individualized Instructioncompete with his peers – he knows that his academic improvements are his own accomplishments to be celebrated.

Instead of being told what a difference each individual can make, he is actually experiencing it, which in turns makes him feel good about himself

Odyssey has provided an environment that has helped our son realize that he does have the ability to be successful, which has done wonders for his self-esteem.

The service learning program has helped our son open his eyes to the world around him. Over the years he has cleaned stream beds, worked with horses, and assisted at a local food bank. In addition to learning “real world” life skills, he is also learning the importance of giving back to his community.

I was introduced to the concept of multiple intelligences long before I found Odyssey school. However, I had never seen it effectively taught. I was so pleased when one day, unsolicited, my son told me that there really are multiple intelligences. He told me that he might not be very good in math but that he was really good with vocabulary. I knew that the faculty wasn’t just paying lip service to the concept, they were helping the students internalize it.

It is a delight to walk into the school and be recognized and to have emails returned within minutes.
