Background:
I have been teaching at Odyssey for the past twelve years. I received my special education teaching certification in 2004 and my undergraduate degree in education from Texas State University in 1998. I continue to further my education by attending workshops and conferences.
Teaching Philosophy:
I love to see how motivated students get when they start to understand the math concepts and their confidence improves. Students start at their individual level, but there are high
expectations for what they can achieve. I strongly encourage my students to ask questions and take chances in learning.
The Odyssey Difference:
I teach at Odyssey School because of the students. I enjoy seeing them progress year after year overcoming challenges. We have the ability to change what doesn’t work with students. We give them the tools to be successful and in turn improve their self-esteem. We are able to get to know the students and their families and they know we care about them.
