After a hot summer, we have settled into a fun fall at Odyssey. We kicked off our 21st school year with a great event at Pinthouse Pizza, which brought together our Odyssey community. Odyssey raised over $3,500 at our Charity Brew Night and Alumni Meet Up, where alumni enjoyed a night of catching up on old times with staff and parents.  

This week we held a Fall Picnic event thanks to the hard work of an Odyssey family, Cookie and Renee Rangel of RRR Farm. The Rangels connected us with their friends at Rain Lily Farm and suggested it as the perfect setting for the picnic. RRR Farm donated a pig from their farm for the pig roast and secured produce from Farmhouse Delivery for the side dishes. This community building event was a great way for our students to spend time together outside of the classroom and for our families to connect. There were also a few lawn games, a raffle and live music by Jake7.

Our Odyssey Costume Contest topped off the week for us. Many staff and students dressed in creative, colorful costumes. Mr. Brinson had a popular treat table during the lunchtime festivities. The students enjoyed a chance to socialize and have fun during lunch.

Continuing in the spirit of building our community, Odyssey’s next event is Family Day on November 16. Students can invite their families to attend this potluck brunch event, where they can meet other families, see student work and talk with teachers.
